New visa type: D-Visas: Chancenkarte

A new D visa category, the Chancenkarte (opportunity card), is now available for eligible applicants.

The Chancenkarte is intended for non-EU nationals with an academic degree or professional qualification who wish to come to Germany to:

find suitable employment, or
pursue additional qualifications with a view to finding employment.

The visa allows eligible applicants to stay in Germany for up to 12 months for these purposes.
