Application information

Visa Application Fees

In order to apply for a visa, you will have to pay a visa fee and a service fee.

  • Visa fee - collected for the Embassy of Germany in Namibia;
  • Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

* Please note that you will be charged in NAD at the exchange rate applicable at the time from the European Central Bank (ECB) and update by the Embassy.

The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in NAD. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the German Missions and is updated periodically, therefore the payable amount may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in NAD.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is EUR 24.51 (480.00 NAD). This amount has been decided in agreement with the German Government and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
