Visa Application Fees
In order to apply for a visa, you will have to pay a visa fee and a service fee.
- Visa fee - collected for the Embassy of Germany in Saudia Arabia;
- Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact;
- Visa fee exemption list.
Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

Exemption of the passport requirement:
Certain passports are not recognized in Germany, e.g. Somali passports or certain Palestinian travel documents. If a passport is not recognized in Germany, the applicant has to apply for an exemption from the passport requirement. An additional fee of 94.00 EUR / 56.00 EUR for minors has to be paid by the applicant.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is SAR 122 (29.00 EUR). It is payable "online" during the appointment booking process. This amount has been decided in agreement with the consular authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in SAR. The conversion of these charges into SAR depends on the current exchange rate set by the German Embassy in Riyadh and is updated periodically. Therefore, the payable amount may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in SAR.
