Visa Application Fees

In order to apply for a visa, you will have to pay a visa fee and a service fee.

  • Visa fee - collected for the German Mission;
  • Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact.

PAYMENT FOR SERVICE FEES AND EXPRESS COURIER RETURN

You will need to pay a service fee to use the visa application centre, and purchase Express Courier Return to receive your passport back after a visa decision has been made. You can pay for this service at our centre TLScontact in Ebene. You need to bring a debit/credit card along with you for payment on the day.

Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the staff of the German Mission or if the applicant decides to withdraw the application.

  • Some individuals may be entitled to a free visa fee. If this is the case, a refund will be organized after submitting the application.

The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in MGA online. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the German Missions and is updated periodically, therefore the payable amount may differ from those quoted above. If you would like to know the equivalent amount in MUR, please click here. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee in MUR.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is 3440 MUR (80.00 EUR) for short-stay visas and 14147 MUR (329.00 EUR) for long-stay visas. This amount has been decided in agreement with the German Government and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointment booking, etc.).
