TLScontact introduces a new visa application method for some German visas

You can now conveniently submit your visa application through the Consular Services Portal. This new online option is available for the following visa categories:
- Studies / Preparatory courses for studies;
- Vocational training;
- Employment for skilled workers (EU Blue Card, university graduates, professionals with recognized vocational qualifications);
- Opportunity Card.
Certain types of visas are currently not processed through the portal. Applicants concerned must therefore book an appointment directly via the TLScontact website, without uploading their documents to the consular portal. The visa types concerned by this procedure are:
- Adaptation course / Work visa for doctors
- Nurses (outside of the accelerated procedure)
- Standalone German language course
- Internship in Germany
- Accelerated procedure for skilled workers (with or without family)
This measure has been put in place to optimise the application process, due to new German consular regulations.
We would like to inform visa applicants that, as part of the consular portal procedure, it is now prohibited to schedule an appointment before uploading all the required documents and receiving the confirmation email regarding the completion of verification and the ability to book an appointment. This confirmation email will inform you that you are now authorized to schedule an appointment for submitting your application.
It is imperative to follow this procedure. Indeed, any applicant who schedules an appointment and pays the fees before the confirmation of document verification completion will have their application rejected and will not be refunded, even if they submit a refund request within the deadline.
