Visa Application Fees
To apply for a visa you will need to pay:
- Visa fees - collected on behalf of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kampala.
- Service Fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at the TLScontact centre.
Please note: Payment of visa fees and service charges does not guarantee that a visa will be granted. Visa fees and service charges are non-refundable or transferable if the visa application is refused by the administration or if the applicant decides to terminate their application.

The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is UGX 172,000.00 (39.00 EUR). This amount has been decided in agreement with the consular authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable only in UGX. The conversion of these charges into UGX depends on the current exchange rate set by the German Embassy in Kampala and is updated periodically. Therefore, the payable amount may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in UGX.
