Visa Application Fees
To apply for a visa, you will have to pay a visa fee and a service fee.
- Visa fee - collected for the of the Consular Authority for the application processing;
- Service fee - collected for the processing of your visa application at TLScontact;
Payment mode:
- Visa Fees and Service fees to be paid in Cash (Kenyan Shilling) or Bank Card at the VAC;
- Added Value Services to be paid Via Bank Card at the VAC.
Attention: Payment of the visa fee and the service fees do not give any guarantee or right that a visa will be granted. The visa fee and service fee are both non-refundable and non-transferable if the visa application is denied by the Embassy staff or if the applicant decides to terminate his or her application.

Some individuals may be entitled to a fee-free visa. If this is the case, a refund will be organized after submitting the application.
*The visa fee is fixed in EUR but payable in KES only. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the German Missions and is updated periodically, therefore the payable amount may differ from those quoted above. Please note that your visa application fee receipt will only quote the fee paid in KES.
The service fee, mandatory for any visa application, is EUR 28.50/ 4,360.00 KES. This amount has been decided in agreement with the Consular Authority and corresponds to the different services provided by the TLScontact centre (i.e. visa application reception, data processing, information collection, appointments booking, etc.).
